How to use the word unscrambler
Type the letters you have, in any order, and press Unscramble. You get every word in the list that you can build from those letters, longest words first. Each letter is used once, so if you need a word with two Es, type two Es.
Open Options to narrow the list. Starts with, Ends with and Contains match letter groups in the word. Word length shows only words of one length, which helps when you know how many squares you must fill.
Blank tiles
A question mark stands for any letter. Use it for a blank tile in Scrabble or Words With Friends, or for a letter you do not know yet. You can use up to two blanks. A blank makes the list much longer, so add a filter if you want fewer results.

Scrabble and Words With Friends
Enter your rack to find your longest play. Add the letter on the board that you want to build from, then set Contains to that letter.
Wordle and other five-letter games
Set Word length to 5. Put the letters you know into Contains, Starts with or Ends with to see which guesses are still possible.
Jumbles, anagrams and crosswords
Type the jumbled letters and set the word length to the number of letters. Anagram sets show up together: TSENIL gives elints, enlist, inlets, listen, silent and tinsel.
Which word list does it use?
WordUnscrambler uses the ENABLE word list, a free list of about 173,000 English words that many word games use. It includes plurals and verb forms, but not proper nouns, abbreviations or words with hyphens. Some words that a game accepts can be missing, and the reverse is also possible, because each game uses its own dictionary.

Do you store the letters I type?
No. The search runs in your browser. Your letters do not go to our server.
Why is a word missing?
The word is not in the ENABLE list, or an option removes it. Clear the options and try again.
